Well... It's not really good or bad...

So JR and I headed back to the doctor today. My blood-pressure was still up, and I'm (despite drinking water like Anne) still retaining a lot of fluid. Part of the high-blood pressure is because I've developed another sinus infection for which I was taking Sudifed. But since it was up last week too, they couldn't say that the OTC meds were what caused the high blood-pressure.

My belly and Gideon were measured again. And Dr. Meinig actually said that Gideon was big and not to buy the newborn diapers yet. (oh, joy)

To be safe, I was told NOT to keep the 2 week job I had lined up with Colin Powell Elementary School to teach pre-school. While I have not been officially put on bed-rest, I WAS told to stay on the couch and drink water all day. (that's all I did yesterday and it didn't lower my blood-pressure) Also, they took some more blood for a test to see if my kidneys and liver are fine. Hopefully we won't hear anything (which means that nothing is wrong). However, if we do get a call then (according to the nurse) the doctor will probably want me to check into the hospital for about a week and we'll deliver Gideon next week. (not an option)

So, now, instead of going to Solomon's Island for a last pre-baby outing, I'm at home, drinking water, on my couch. Again...

Please keep Gideon and me (and JR) in your prayers.

I'm so excited to meet Gideon....it's terrible that you're on bed rest...but not so terrible that Gideon may be joining us shortly!!

The drinking water constantly thing is hard! I had to drink water like there was no tomorrow after my kidney transplant. Sammie bought me a cool cup to put it in...somehow...that made drinking it easier!

Good luck! You are with us in prayer!

Hey Daisha- I found your website, how fun! We will be praying for everyone to stay healthy and for a safe and fast delivery, but not for a few more weeks!!

Thanks for the prayers, everyone. We'll update if we get that call from the dr. this evening.
