Naomi is 20 months old!

Naomi-20-mon
This is how she rolls.

Naomi is totally crazy. She is impulsively sweet and incredibly nurturing. She imitates EVERYTHING Gideon does.

Her verbal skills are through the roof. She will attempt to repeat anything she hears. But she has enough vocabulary to tell a story.

She has a quirky sense of humor and she enjoys using it as much as possible. It is not uncommon for her to out of the blue yell, "Wall-i!"

Her musical library is getting bigger too. In addition to the Seeds Family Worship songs I've mentioned before, she has also joined Gideon in singing "Sunday Clothes" from "Hello, Dolly" (the song is also on "Wall-i").

Naomi continues to be strong-willed and determined. Which isn't always fun, but I know it will serve her well as she faces a world that doesn't hold the Father dear.

She gets prettier and prettier every day. Her hair is getting really long. And, folks, she's getting skinny. I had to cinch in the waist on her jeans for the first time in her life. She is fitting back into clothing she was too big for this summer!

Naomi is all about anything princess. She uses the word all the time. And apparently anything bright pink is also "princess."

Speaking of colors, whereas G guessed all items were blue, Naomi first guesses green, when she finds out it's not green, she guesses yellow. Sometimes she moves on to purple. About 50% of the time she gets those 3 colors right.

She sometimes counts. And she usually fills in the blanks if you leave something out. Toward that end, she can help me "read" the Curious George books. Mom and I leave blanks for her to fill in. It's really cute.

We are beginning the potty-training process. We aren't doing it hard-core until after the musical. But she's starting to get interested in it. She has used the toilet successfully before. And occasionally we will let her spend some time in underwear (which she loves b/c they have princesses on them).

And since she's so into princesses, that will be what she dresses up as for Halloween. We looked at fabric yesterday and she knew what fabrics she liked and which ones she DIDN'T like. So she will be a purple princess. (I'll have to make up the dress before I can post pictures.)

We love Naomi so much. (I can't believe that she's days away from being the same age that Gideon was when she was born.)

I can't believe she's already that old. Wow.

I love the "finish" on these pictures. It's got an antique, classic quality to it. Very nice.
