Ok, people, I'll ask you.

I have started making "things" and I cannot for the life of me settle on a name for them. My mom calls them "Paper Samplers". And, in a way, that's what they are... but "sampler" seems too rustic for some of them. "Art Pieces" seems too snobby...

They can be personalized to be ANYTHING. So far, they are being used for:

Wedding "Announcement" (you know, who married who on what date, with a Bible verse)

Wedding Vows (proud of the vows you wrote your spouse?, need a reminder of what you said?... that's what these are for)

Baby "Announcement"/Blessing (if you are one of those that doesn't tell anyone the name of your child before it's birth, a blessing may be the way to go... however, if you want something that has the child's name, birth information and possibly a picture... that can be arranged too)

So, take a look at the slide-show. If you have an idea for a name, PLEASE leave a comment. MAYBE, if I go with your idea, I'll even make you one. :)

After seeing the post about my commissioned work for JR's cousin's daughter, I actually got a request to make something special for an expectant fellow blogger. (And I'm really excited about working it up. The ideas are flowing and bubbling.)

Leave your ideas, request something for yourself... :)

Paperworks? Stationary? That seems to cover a lot of categories...they're very pretty. Do you ship? Don't have a need for anything right now, but would be nice to know for the future.

Hey Daisha! I think those are absolutely beautiful...you've always been so talented. I think you could name them using some kind of play with your last name. I don't really know....I think of sheets of paper and maybe you could call them something like, "sheets work" or "work of sheets" seems a little corny but I'm sure you can come up with something related to sheets and then it would be personalized to you! that's my random thought.

I'm going to think more on this... but here are some initial thoughts:
artistic expressions
loving expressions
framed expressions

I don't know. I'm not the clever one in the family, but some how using a combination of those words. Maybe also consider the terms personalized or custom...

They are beautiful!

Looks like you've got some decoupage going on there in those pieces. So, what about: "Daisha-coupage."

Piggybacking on what Jill said...in the publishing world (and probably other worlds, too), we use the term "style sheets." That could be a cool name, too, but I like the first one better.

Sorry I don't have anything original to offer, but reading the other posts, I am voting for "Style Sheets". : )

What about "Designer Sheets"???

you might use the word "montage" meaning "the technique of producing a new composite whole from fragments of picture, text, or music". although, "designer sheets" sounds pretty good...especially as a label and perhaps a website. this particular piece of art though may need to be titled more specifically since you are gifted in creating many different things. :)

I wish I had a creative name for you...i'll have to think about it. I have to agree that so far I like "Style Sheets". You should definitely use your name some how...maybe "Expressive Sheets" or "Sheets of Expression".

They are beautiful!!

I like just plain ol' "Expressions." Sort of wraps up the art and words in one. They're just gorgeous, Daisha. My pride won't let me ask for one, but makes me want to make my own! If it turns out crummy I'll come crawling back to you!
