Misc. Catch-up Post (with Pictures)

Well, I haven't really been good about posting as regularly as I'd like.

So I'll do a catch-up post.

April-- JR and I went to Orlando for fun. Some of his friends from college were getting together, and we joined them. It was a good time. And it was neat for me to be able to meet more people from JR's life.

While we were gone, Debby (Grandma) kept the kids. Apparently all 3 had a good time.

I'm including a slide-show, until then I think I'll go with randomness...

--I have been afraid to report about Naomi's sleep schedule, b/c I was sure I'd jinx myself. Well... I told my mom about it and that jinxed it, so I'll go ahead and post what it is normally. (and it's nothing I'm doing, so don't think I'm bragging) Naomi typically goes to sleep at 8:30 and wakes up 10 or 11 hrs. later for the first time. She has been a better sleeper than Gideon was. She has slept like this for almost the entire month of April.

--Gideon is ALWAYS asking "why" when we give him a direction now. And... "because I said so" really IS an acceptable answer. :)

--Naomi talks ALL THE TIME. I have a feeling that when she actually says words... we'll never have a quiet moment in the house.

--Gideon talks all the time too. He's pretty good about communicating. However, after using the words he does say, he follows it with a lot of gibberish that is accompanied by hand movements. (It's really pretty cute.)

--We've been taking family walks the past 2 evenings and have loved them.

--Naomi is laughing now. I noticed it for the first time (besides the little laughter in the hospital) when we got back from Orlando. She's ticklish.

--The drooling with child number 2 has started like it did with child number 1. Gideon was a drool machine. And last week I put N's bathing suit top on her b/c it was easier than finding a bib and making sure she kept it on. Plus, she was cute in it.

--Both kids LOVE singing "If You're Happy and You Know It". (I need to get a video of it.)

--Naomi only cries... and I mean it... she ONLY cries when she's hungry, wants to sleep and we're not letting her, or when she's in the car seat. She hates her car seat. I think it's because she isn't sitting straight up. She doesn't like to recline for very long. And yesterday, she figured out how to pull herself out of the reclining position into the tripod sit. (Gideon didn't do this for another 2 months.)

And now, I'll let you see the pics. (since most of you, like me, scrolled down and skipped the words anyway) :)

Cute pictures!!! I must say I am a bit jealous of Naomi's sleeping habits. Lawson does much better ever since we put him on his tummy, but he can't seem to get into a predictable routine. Some nights he sleeps for 4 hours before waking up and others it's 6 or 7 hours. Unfortunately, it's usually closer to 4.

Glad you and JR got to get away for a little vacation. Those are always much needed and much appreciated trips.

I read all the words. At least I think I did...

And those are some great pics! They were a little off center (at least on my computer), so I missed some of the stuff on the right.

I'm having the same problem, Hannah -- everything is off set by 10% to 50%. Hmm... I'm sure the comments are cute, though!

That took care of it -- thanks!
