Fall Festival

In our day, we called this time "Halloween", but apparently now it's called "Fall Festival". Whatever you call it, it presents great photo ops.
We don't have too many family photos. But here's one from the Fall Festival we went to with Debby (JR's mom) last Saturday.
And here's Gideon in his Halloween costume. He's going as a football player. We didn't want to spend too much money on his costume since he won't remember this holiday at all. And this is actually a bib. So we get double-duty out of it. Plus, he's just so cute!

The weather is FINALLY starting to cool off here in Florida. (thank goodness! It'll be easier for me not to be as crabby as I am when it's hot.) We have our windows open. And yesterday, Gideon and I went for a walk during the 3 o'clock hour. By the end of the walk, Gideon was getting cold (despite the fact that he was bundled up). He's just not used to the cold. But JR and I are psyched about it.

Well, I'm off to work on a project.

this is just not fair. it seems that every friend i have is posting fall pictures on their blogs with pumpkins, cider mills, halloweenie type things. alas, it's just not that big here in france. they actually EAT pumpkins here! apparently nobody ever told them that they are for carving...
