Hello, World!!

HELLO! (that's him, waving)
Gideon Michael Sheets, due to arrive mid-June, has been dancing and kicking to show his enthusiasm for life.

For several weeks he has been making his presence more known, but today, his excited parents were able to see their second glimpse into his growing world.

And, for the first time, he was able to tell us to stop with the gender-neutral pronouns and announce his name to the world. :)

After seeing him in action (playing peek-a-boo, kicking, and wiping his mouth) Gideon Michael seems even more real. And his father is sure that he will prove to be a strong soccer player.

Here's a full-body shot of the tiniest member of the Sheets family. Gideon weighs 11 oz. The doc said he is healthy! We saw the heart beating srongly (147 beats per minute), the 2 sections of the brain, and all the major organs growing as they should. It is SO amazing to see all these things!

He is very active (at ALL times of day and night).

Below is a close-up of his profile. JR and I think that he has JR's nose. In this picture, his mouth is open. Durring the ultrasound, he was moving his mouth a lot. He was drinking, but it looked like he was singing (which, knowing his parents, wouldn't be surprising).

Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. We love you all.

The Sheets,
JR, Daisha, and Gideon

Woo--HOO!!! a MIGHTY Warrior--Who is like God! is a wonderful name to hand this soul. [You do know that Gideon aslo means lumberjack, kind of an irresistable force. (GRIN)] May God bless you and the soul entrusted to your care.
In case you may have missed it, we are very excited. Keep sharing HIS love and grace.

Oh how wonderful! Little Gideon. You do us proud. May the Lord bless each of you. Our first great-grandbaby. What a privilege. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Sheets and thank you Lord. The pictures are good and he is beautiful and healthy. Life is good. Love and always our prayers from great-grandma Betty and great-grandpa Bob.

Awesome! Congratulations! Can't wait to meet my next nephew. Though he's got high cuteness standards to live up to with my other nephew. ;) I'm sure he'll do just fine.
