Madison's Birthday Party

Last Saturday was the party to celebrate Madison turning 5. If you have been keeping up with our blog for the past 2 years, you will know how much our family loves this little girl. She is so good about including Gideon, and loves him almost as much as he loves her. And she's 5!!!

Her big birthday party was at her gym. And JR and I were interested to see how Gideon handled this new situation. Gideon had never been in an atmosphere like we were going to be introducing him to. We were watching to see how he handled A)following instructions with a group, B)the gymnastics equipment and tasks, and C)being a 2 (not even a 2.5 yr. old) trying to keep up with 4-6 yr. olds.

Like always, he exceeded out expectations.

I did have to help him stay in line (but only for the first few lines they formed). By the end he was getting a better idea about how standing in line helps you know when to take your turn.

He was a joy to watch. And his favorite thing was just running like mad.

I'm really disappointed about how the pictures turned out. I guess since the gym was big and indoors, my camera didn't quite know what to do. And I never ended up with a good picture of the birthday girl. But you can head over to her family's blog to check out there pics of her. Here are the few shots that I took, just to give you an idea of what all went on.

The party was lots of fun. Gideon was wired the rest of the day. (from pure energy... not sugar)

enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Madison! We didn't realize it was coming up, or else Tater would have made you a special card. Gideon and Naomi, you did fabulously (of course) and I can't wait to see you in a few weeks!

Isn't it amazing how other kids can teach our kids things like how to stay in a line? Way to follow direction, Gideon!

By the way, your little "Dorothy" and "Curious George" were adorable!!

Thanks for loving our daughter, and son, so much!! We can't think of better friends for our children...even with the age span. Maybe our kids' best traits will continue to rub off on each other!! And, by the way, we love and adore Gideon and Naomi just as much!
