The Crawling Video

I was trying to get this on yesterday, but my computer and camera were having communication problems.

Gideon is getting to be such a little boy instead of a baby. He knows when he's being funny. He can give kisses when asked for them. He looks at things (even across the room) when you mention them. (let's see... what else?)

Yesterday after his afternoon nap, I heard a rattle from his room. I waited in the doorway and watched him. He was sitting in his crib, patting the car/rattle until he noticed the floor fan. He studied it from across the room until he realized that the bar at the top of his crib would afford him the stability to stand. So, he pulled himself up, with a smile conveying his imense pride and surveyed his "kingdom". That's when he noticed me standing there, at which point he flashed me one of his winning smiles as if to say, "see Mom, I'm the best". (He's so funny.)

Gideon has been a little sick lately... runny nose and lots of snoring. But for the most part, he's been in a great mood. And for my part, I see the benefits of him feeling a little sub-standard: he's extra cuddley.

As far as his crawling goes... he really only uses it to get him close enough to furniture to pull up to a standing position. The boy wants to walk. Man, once he does... I'm going to be getting my work-out.

Well, I've typed long enough for the video to up-load from my computer to the web-site... so, without any further ado...

SO CUTE!!! i love to hear the giggle. and the crawling is great... once they crawl they want to walk. rachel took another 3 months before she had any desire to walk on her own without the help of the sofa. gideon could beat her time and then you will have lots of fun! oh... and that fish music sounds familiar. rachel loved to push that button over and over again! :) give gideon a kiss for me.
