JR--You are amazing. I had always assumed that I wouldn't be able to find an intelligent, God-fearing man who could match my quirkiness. But God led me to you.
I love laughing with you, crying with you, singing with you...
I am blessed by you. I have never met someone with more determination. When you make up your mind to do something... it is done. If you decide you need to change something about yourself... you change it.
Your strength astounds me. You are strong in the Lord, strong in your self, and strong in your commitments.
Keith Edwin Sheets, Jr, you are truly the most wonderful man I know. I can't imagine life without you.
Happy Birthday, my Warrior.

And now a brief report of the weekend:
Saturday afternoon, JR and I sat down to watch our wedding video. We "walked down memory lane." And it was good to hear our vows again... a good reminder.
Gideon woke up from his nap and watched the last part of the wedding with us, and then we started getting things ready for our big date.
Kime and Sara came over around 4 to babysit. So JR and I headed out. (Kime and Sara took some pictures while they were here, but I'll post those later.)
JR and I went to see "The Illusionist." Neither of us knew very much about the movie, but I had picked it. After worrying that JR wasn't enjoying it, he blew me away when during the closing credits, he said, "We have to own this movie." He LOVED it. And it was a good movie... kind of an artsy mystery.
After the movie, JR took me to a surprise spot that he'd found. He had me close my eyes for a while as we drove the last few minutes and as he set up the surprise. The place was a beautiful tree-canopied, grassy spot. JR brought our picnic blanket (from our first date), candles, our Book, and my present. We sat on the blanket and he began. First he read the letter that he read me the first time he told me that he was in love with me. Then he read what he said as he proposed to me. And then, he read the vows he said at our wedding. My gift (it is the "Paper Anniversary") was our marriage license framed beautifully so it could be proudly displayed in our home.
My gift seemed WAY less romantic at this point... I got JR a Bible like he's been wanting.
After we exchanged gifts and got mosquito bites, we got back in the car and headed to Ted's Montana Grill. OH, yummmm... just remembering our meal makes my mouth water.
Our food was great. Our time together... PRICELESS. (I love being with that guy!)
We came home to a great report about Gideon's behavior. (a good way to end the date)
And I think that this is probably a good point at which to end the report.
So... everyone, take a minute to say Happy Birthday to JR and have a great day!

Hey you guys,
I wanted to let you know that appreciate you and love you very much. I remember your wedding and the theme of faithfulness. God has been faithful in your lives and it shows me of the love he has for us everyday. I often think about how God is faithful when I am down on the fact that I don't have a wonderful man to support me in this life. In no way does this bring jealousy, but a hope that God will provide that love and support for me in and through more than one person. Thank you for your love and faithfulness to the Lord and to each other. Happy Anniversary and Happy birthday JR!! He is faithful!!!!
Happy Birthday JR.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
May the God we serve continue to bless you as you bless those around you. Cindee and I rejoice at the opportunity to be included in your life. Keep loving our daughter and leading her on your journey to eternity. God is faithful.
Papa Dan
