18 Monthabirthday

I can't believe how much Gideon has changed. Looking at him in 6 month increments really brings all the changes to the forefront.

I've been working on listing all the words that Gideon uses on a regular basis. In addition to these, he is also to the point where he tries to imitate any words we ask him to say. (so much fun) I typed this up in Excel, so the formatting is kinda' weird... sorry. :)

Gideon Signs:

Cooking, help, more, pumpkin, what?/where?/I don't know.

Gideon continues to LOVE Curious George, Elmo, cars, trucks, and trains. He will play by himself, but also loves to have friends to play with. At this point his daddy and I still count as friends. :)

He likes to talk to Naomi and pat-pat my belly. (so cute)

I love how helpful he is around the house. It is certainly a little cleaner now that he's tall enough to put dishes in the sink. In fact, yesterday he waited for me to finish my drink and immediately asked for my cup.

Gideon has started indicating when he is peeing and when he wants to be changed. I'm not going to try to push it so that he's potty-trained by the time Naomi comes, though. It's just nice to know that he's becoming aware.

He is an incredible little boy. He is sweet, gentle, fun-loving, rough-and-tumble, cuddly, intelligent, and humorous.

We love him SO much!!!

He's making the rest of our kids look bad! Tell him to stop learning things so quickly!
