Gideon's Stats...

We went to the doctor today. Gideon had 4 shots (which he didn't like.)

Here are his stats...
Head: 41 cm (35%)
Length: 25 in (50%)
Weight: 12.9 lbs (10%)

Everyone said he looked great and seemed happy and on track. (and skinny) :)

Did you get any stats about what percentage the size of his mouth put him in?

I'm telling you, based on how big it is and how often he likes to open it, God has a great sense of humor in terms of getting back at both of you for the talking, singing, weird sounds (ala Brett's posting), etc. that seem to have marked both of your childhoods. :)

Ah, the doctor. Oh, the shots! They're so happy--smiling, cooing--while you hold them down and pretend everything's okay. And then the shots. Two in each leg, right? And then the look of utter betrayal, searching your face for the meaning of this intense pain and why in the world you're still smiling, though you're fighting back the tears yourself!

Being a mom's tough ...

I hear it gets worse when the child actually knows what's coming. Johnathan had his 2 yr shots, but he still didn't remember what to expect, thank goodness. I think the next ones come at 4. I dread them already!

And Kalleigh goes for her PKU's next week. I really dread those. Yeah, I'm going to blog about that. There's definitely a sermon in there ... :)
